Sometimes I feel like my life is a movie, and that the situations I get myself into doesn't happen to normal people. Remember how I said that I was excited that my friends from Utah were coming in for Pure Barre training last week? Well that was this weekend, and I can definitely say it was a weekend I won't forget.

Friday evening I pick them up from the airport, and it was so good to see them! Britt and Kate are currently PB teachers in Draper Utah, and I have worked with them since the day the studio opened. Right away we all formed this amazing bond, and just have a blast with one another. Before them flying to AZ we all had plans to go out Saturday, and just have an amazing girls night full of dancing and laughs.

We woke up early Saturday morning so we could drive 45 minutes to the Chandler studio where they would be trained at, and take their first PB velcro class from me. Right as we got done with class we started to drive to Phoenix for some breakfast before training at noon. As we were driving Britt mentioned that her eyes were bothering her, and so we stopped to pick her up some eye drops from CVS. With being on a plane, and coming to an extremely dry climate I thought that her eyes were just dried out. We finally reach the restaurant, and Britt immediately went in the bathroom to fiddle with her contacts. She was in there for a solid 15 minutes, and was not able to fix her eyes. Once we sat down, I told her that she should just take them out while we at so her eyes could relax. Once she took her contacts out things got worse. Her eyes started to water like crazy, and you could tell she was in so much pain. We decided to finish breakfast early, and take her to the pharmacy. At this point Britt was crying from how much pain she was in. I felt so bad for her! On our way out of the restaurant we all of a sudden felt a boom on the side of my car. Did that just happen? Someone just hit me. Ugh! We all pull off to the side, and immediately the other party came out me with hostility. I kept my cool, and started calling the cops to have them write up an accident report. During this time I had no clue what to do. I just got in an accident, I have one friend in excruciating pain, and I still have to get these two to training. Not wanting Britt to be in anymore pain I called one of the front desk girls Victoria that worked down the street at the Phoenix PB studio to ask if she could please pick up Britt, and take her to a pharmacy. All I knew was that Britt was scared and in pain, and that she should be away from this hostile car situation that wasn't making things better. She no longer could open her eyes, and I ushered her to Victoria's car so she could be taken to a clinic.

Once the accident was all squared away me and Kate started to drive to the clinic where Britt was at. Current time 11:30 a.m. Once we pick up Britt she told us that she was instructed to go to the ER. Kate offered to go to the hospital with us, but we all decided that we needed to drop Kate off to training first so she could take notes for Britt. We got to the Chandler studio minutes before training started, and I explained to the trainer Britt's situation. Luckily the hospital was right across from the street from the studio, and hopefully we would be done in time for Britt to get trained. As we walked into the hospital Britt held my hand since she couldn't see. Apparently we looked like a lady couple because every guy that walked by us starred us down with the biggest smile. I whispered to Britt if you could only see how we are making some men's day. Once we got her admitted they put some numbing drops in her eyes that took the pain away instantly. They told us that she scratched her eyes up pretty bad, and thats why her eyes were freaking out. Being out of pain Britt was back to her normal self, and we were out of there in an hour. We decided to go back to the studio before going to the pharmacy to drop off her meds. Once we got to the studio they just barely started the training. We were there for another hour until Britt started declining, and the meds wore off. I drove her to the Target that was 5 minutes away, and at this point she couldn't open her eyes. When we got to the pharmacy they told us they didn't have to eye medication we needed. Seeing how much pain Britt was in they called CVS, Walgreens, and other Targets to find this medication for us. Thirty minutes later we find out the only place that has it is in Mesa, which is another 25 minute drive. The search for Britt's pain relief continues. Once getting to Mesa they give us the prescription, and inform us that the stuff is an antibiotic not a pain reliever. Worst news we've herd in the past hour. We drove back to the studio for the last hour of training, and we both sat in the lobby listening to the training from the studio.

Once training was over we drove back to my place. While things didn't happen the way we wanted to, I can definitely say it was a weekend we won't forget.
