Wellness Wednesday: Snack Healthy

Snacking. We all do it. We can't avoid it. We can control what we eat though. I don't eat full meals for breakfast or lunch, and just have little snacks to get me through my day. It's so easy to reach for the ice cream or chips when that snacking "itch" hits you like a ton of bricks. You reach for the Doritos, and the next thing you know half the bag is gone, and you have no memory of eating them. An hour sets in, and you're frustrated for devouring half a bag of chips by yourself. Don't worry I won't tell a soul ;)

Life is all about making good choices, and our diet is apart of that. Being strategic about your snacking is going to be key in avoiding the "binge." Be mindful of what you put on your plate, and fill your cabinets with wholesome food to avoid temptation.

I've said this time and time again, but I love dessert. After dinner I just need that little sweet treat to make me feel satisfied. Here's one of my wholesome sweet snacks that is easy, delicious, and fast.

Ingredients

  • Greek Yogurt
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Almond butter
  • Optional: Bare Banana Chips (they also have coconut ones too)

Directions

  • Mix everything together in a bowl, and enjoy :)

  2. Well I'm definitely guilty of having a bowl of ice cream more often than not, but I do like to make sure I balance that out with healthy snacks too. This sounds really good! Greek yogurt is a go-to for me.
