Best Summer Earrings Under $15

Left to Right + Top to Bottom
White pair c/o / Flamingos c/o / Mint Baubles c/o / Pink Baubles c/o / Neon Hoops c/o / Blue Baubles c/o / Red Tassels c/o
I go through phases where I wear earrings all the time or hardly at all. Typically during the summer months is when I itch for some bold, bright, and big earrings!!! I love pairing statement earrings with summer dresses, swimsuits, and jumpsuits! There's something about a statement earring that gives an outfit that extra "pop" that makes you feel all sorts of fierce am-I-right?!

I love Baublebar because they create pieces that are currently on trend, but sometimes I don't want to spend $30+ on accessories especially since all of our money is being allocated to moving to PA. Did you know that Baublebar teamed up with Target to create a line that is more affordable called Sugarfix?

For the past couple months I've been send some earrings from the Sugarfix line, and honestly it is the same quality as the Baublebar line. Have you tried the Sugarfix line yet?

One of My Favorite Dresses on a Budget

Dress: F21 (only $16!) / Earrings: Baublebar c/o / Bag: Vici (similar here) / Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (here, here) / Lips: Pucker & Pout - First Love
This weekend the temps skyrocketed in Dallas, and dresses are the only thing that keeps my body from overheating. Since I WEAR tons of dresses in the summer months I try not to spend a lot on them. Lately F21 has been killing it this season, and have bought multiple pieces from them that I have been very happy with. I almost hate it when F21 gets it right for a season because I then want to buy it all!!!

This dress stuck out to me because it doesn't cling to the body (great for when its hot), can be dressed down for daytime, or dressed up for aa night out with the girls. It also comes in cream/navy, but the green stood out to me for summer.

Tune in for tomorrows post where I share all the places my dad and I explored when he was in town.

My Favorite Apps for Editing Selfies

Photography: Ella B Photo
Top: Loft (half off!) / Jeans: Blank NYC / Shoes: Free People / Bag: HM / Rings: Baublebar / Lips: Pucker & Pout - 2x First Love 1x Cappuccino
Part of being a blogger and Senegence distributor is learning how to rock the selfies. I love sharing my selfies on my Instagram to show my makeup for the day, BTS of a shoot, fun new jewelry, or just what I am wearing for the day.

It's very rare that I just take a selfie, and post it without editing it. The photographer in me always wants to edit the coloring, lightening, contrast, and saturation. Here is my top favorite apps for editing iPhone images that I use on the daily.

Lightroom: As a photographer I edit all my images through Lightroom on my desktop. In LR I create presets that I use on my images to keep my brand cohesive for my clients. Through LR they have a mobile app where I can import my presets from my desktop onto my iPhone. The only downside is that I don't have as many options to edit through LR mobile as I do on my desktop.

POTO: I don't necessarily use this for selfies, but it's on of my favorite collage apps. Whenever I'm doing a collage for the Instagram this is my go to app.

Afterlight: I used to use this a lot more before I downloaded LR mobile on my phone, and is an awesome app to adjust brightness, contrast, exposure, highlight/shadow, saturation, hue, and much more. Afterlight is more straight forward than LR mobile, and is more user friendly.

ColorStory: I don't use this one all the time, but when I do I absolutely love the filters. I saw this app advertised on Instagram, and decided to give it a go. The apps are so fun, but the downside is that you need to buy a lot of them.

Facetune: If you have never downloaded this app you NEED TO! Let's be real we all have a zit or maybe our skin isn't looking the best one day, and want to immediately cover that up. Facetune is a game changer when it comes to editing, and is my favorite app EVER!

Dress: F21 / Hat: Free People / Bag: Vici (similar here) / Earrings: Baublebar c/o / Shoes: Free People / Lips: Pucker & Pout - 1x Sassy Z 2x Aussie Rose
Doesn't this color just give you life looking at it?! I've always been a huge fan of yellow on me, and especially when it comes to marigold. This color is super hard to find, and when I saw this dress of the F21 site I knew it had to be mine. The fabric is super light weight, and is the perfect dress for summer. My only complaint is that the straps run long, and had to get it altered.

I posted a selfie of me wearing this dress last week, and everyone kept sending me messages of how they loved this color on me. Thanks IG fam... it also helps that I just got a spray tan to make that yellow really pop ;)

Wellness Wednesday: My Favorite GG Cracker Recipes

Happy Wednesday y'all! I haven't done a "Wellness Wednesday" in a while, and I've been dying to share with you some of my favorite GG cracker recipes.

What are GG Crackers?

These crackers are packed full of fiber totaling at 4 grams per cracker. Jess why should I care about having fiber in my diet? Glad you asked! Fiber is important when it comes to helping your digestive system, improve blood sugar levels, lowers cholesterol, and helps keep you regular (if you know what I mean ***wink wink).

Lets talk about calorie investment when converting to the GG. Each cracker is a total of 12 calories, and these are PRETTY BIG CRACKERS! Total calorie win here!

What's awesome too is that if you need a snack you can eat a couple of these without feeling guilty! Did I mention that you don't get that food belly bloat that you would normally get after eating bread, and helps control your appetite?!  Bikini win here!

Now I'm not going to lie these crackers are very bland by themselves, but you can dress them up to make a yummy snack or meal.

Whenever I buy my GGs I typically buy them in bulk here, and it's such a good deal! Keep scrolling down to see some of my favorite recipes for GG crackers.

Faux Avocado Toast

If I'm working from home I usually dive into this recipe for a midday fuel meal. The fattiness of the avocado mixed with the tomatoes make for a great meal replacement that will leave you feeling satisfied.

  • 2 GG crackers
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Cherry tomatoes halved
  • Lemon Pepper
  1. Cut avocado in half, and mash it.
  2. Spread the avocado mash on the crackers.
  3. Top the spread with cherry tomatoes, and lemon pepper.

The Faux French Toast

I originally saw this recipe on the Skinny Confidential, and modified her recipe a bit.

  • 3 eggs
  • Skim milk
  • GG crackers
  • Coconut oil
  • Syrup (I like to use agave)
  • Cinnamon
  • Berries
  1. In a bowl whisk together eggs, milk and cinnamon.
  2. Soak each cracker in the mixture.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a pan, and then cook the crackers for 2 minutes in each side.
  4. After cooked place on a plate, and layer with syrup (or agave) and some berries.

Cracker Caprese

I know that a caprese salad doesn't call for a cracker, but by adding a GG you get more fiber in your diet. Bonus*** the cracker makes it easier to eat. Say goodbye to a fork and knife #byefelicia.

  • 2 GG crackers
  • Fresh mozzarella
  • 1 roma tomatoe
  • Fresh basil
  1. Cut the mozzarella and tomatoes into slices.
  2. Layer cheese and tomatoes on the crackers, and finish off with shreds of basil

Peanut Butter & Apple Cracker

This snack helps me EVERY TIME when my sweet tooth kicks in, and I don't want to feel guilty the next day. I promise... you'll thank me for this recipe later!

  • 2 GG crackers
  • Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 of an apple
  • Agave or honey
  • Cinnamon
  1. Cut the apple into thin slices.
  2. Spread peanut butter evenly over GG cracker.
  3. Top cracker with apple, honey, and cinnamon.

A Striped Spring & Renly Introductions

Shirt: J.Crew (old similar herehere, here, and here) / Jeans: Rag and Bone (similar here and here) / Jacket: Paige (similar here) / Sunnies: F21 (old similar here) / Earrings: Baublebar c/o / Shoes: Michael Kors (old similar here) / Bag: HM / Lips: Pucker & Pout - First Love
Sorry for no post on Friday blog fam, but I drove a few hours to pick up the newest addition to our family. Meet baby Renly! He's a Yorkshire Terrier, and he got his name from Game of Thrones Renly Baratheon. Since we are HUGE GOT fans it only seemed fitting that our next dog would be named after a character.

Django is still adjusting to having Renly in the house, and tries to keep his distance from him. I know it will take some time, but I hope that they will become buddies! My dream is to walk in one day, and they are snuggling in a yorkie-ying-yang shape.

I forgot how much work a puppy is, and have been waking up at random times during the night to Renly's squeaks. When he wakes up at night I'll grab him out of his box, and cuddle him until it's time for me to wake up.

He's such a sweet spirit, and I am so happy to have him apart of the family! I decided to start Renly and Django an Instagram account so I don't bombard my following with a million pics of them. Make sure you follow them to watch their brotherhood grow @renlyanddjango
