JT's Easter in AZ

Another holiday spent away from home. Easter was once filled with frantic rushing between grandma's ham hock dinner and Davis county festivities. At the time, I felt so overwhelmed (and full) from rushing between dinners, people, and homes anytime a holiday would present itself. After three meals I could no longer stand the sight or taste of ham. "Please sir....no more." How I longed for a slow-paced holiday where my only stress stemmed from my minds eternal battle of what to wear that day. I got what I asked for, and dare I say I miss the craziness?! Our day consisted of going to church, coming home to work on the computer, Todd giving me a basket of roses, and playing at the pool. Sounds like another chillaxed Sunday. Sounds almost perfect, but again I miss the craziness. Maybe it was the love of challenging the clock (and speeding through traffic) and arriving at the in-laws no later than requested, or scaring my nephew by saying that Coco (My grandma made up "Coco" the scary monster to keep us kids inline. A perfect name to strike fear into a child's heart, right?) is going to get him if he doesn't behave.
I thrive on crazy. I guess that's why I have two jobs, and decided to write a blog. Easter didn't feel the same this year without the crazy. The whole being an adult thing is more difficult than it seemed, with us having to start our new holiday traditions.  All I need to do now is learn how to make a ham......
