Wellness Wednesday: Skinny Ice Cream


If I was tell you that this wasn't a picture of real ice cream, would you believe me? 
You scream, I scream, we all scream for Yonanas!
Over the weekend my dad got me hooked on this crazy device called a Yonanas that turns fruit into ice cream/sorbet. Did I mention that it's 100% fruit?! No dairy, no sugar, just plain-ol-fruit. 

Prep time for this tasty, low calorie, and HEALTHY treat is minimal. The one type of fruit that is recommended is bananas. It's the banana that gives that smooth texture that mimics dairy. 
Freeze your fruit for 24 hours (especially the bananas or else the end product will be more mushy), and then let it sit at room temperature for 1o minutes. Turn on your Yonanas, place fruit in it, alternate between banana and other fruit, and out comes your delicious treat! 

Feed your sweet tooth by skipping Ben and Jerry's, and go for a healthier option like Yonanas!
