Nothing like a staycation to get a little R&R before Todd's break between quarters of dental school. Last weekend we were invited by the Westin Kierland Resort to come, and enjoy a weekend at their hotel. Since we love a good time we invited our good friends the Pearce's to join in the weekend festivities. We got to the hotel Saturday afternoon right after I got teaching Pure Barre, and went straight to our hotel room to see our gorgeous view of the golf course. If I was a golfer I could only imagine how giddy I would be to play on the green. After hitting our room we went immediately to the pool to check things out. There was two things that I loved about the pool: a) the lazy river (who doesn't love to lay in a tube, drink in hand, and catch some lazy sun rays), and b) the flow rider. While the lazy river is self explanatory the flow rider is a self made wave that you can body board or surf board on. Right after we hit the pool I went back to my room for the deepest nap I have ever taken while Todd relaxed by reading a dental book. By the time I woke up the Pearce's were meeting us for dinner. Since the hotel is so close to the Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter malls we went to dinner across the way. It was so much fun to hang out with friends for an amazing evening at the hotel.

Hotel stay was courtesy of Westin Kierland Resort.
