Rachel Parcell Fall Skirt Petite Review

Photography: Jamee Edwards
Top: J.Crew / Skirt: Rachel Parcell / Ring: Stella and Dot c/o / Bracelet: Loren Hope c/o / Bag: Adrienne Vittadini (similar here) / Shoes: Public Desire (khaki sold out, but black is on for $14 / similar color here) / Lips: NARS -New Lover
I must say that this is probably my favorite outfit post for the season so far. Lately my color scheme has consisted of oranges, blacks, and greys when normally I lean toward a more vibrant wardrobe. Feels good to be back to my colorful self!

How ah-mazing is this skirt? I seriously could twirl in it all day. When I saw that Rachel Parcell was coming out with her new fall line I was immediately obsessed with her color scheme. This skirt has been one of my new favorite pieces that I've gotten for fall. Wine/Bordeaux is one of my favorite colors for fall, and I am obsessed with the richness in this skirt. During the summer I got her lilac pleated skirt (post here), and knew I would have to get it taken in by my tailor. We took in about 4 inches in the waist, which took some of the fullness out of the skirt. If you have the same fit issues, I do recommend tailoring the skirt to the smallest part of your waist so the weight of the skirt won't pull the skirt down as you move. As far as length goes, on my last skirt I had to take it up in the hem, but didn't have to do it with this one.

This skirt is absolutely classic, and is going to be the perfect addition to my church #ootd :)
