The hustle and bustle of the holiday season made life pass by in a blink of an eye. Since we hit January 1 2017 life has come to a halt, and has progressively gotten slower as the days passed. This is it you guys, January 30 is when we find out where we move for the next four years for residency. Arizona? Colorado? Mississippi? Pennsylvania? Ohio? California?
These last 6 days have dragged on, and feel like the end of the month is ages away. I am impatient by nature, and want to know my future NOW!
Todd and I always joke that I'm like Veruca Salt from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
"I don't care how, I want it NOW!"
Fun Fact: The original Willie Wonka is one of my all time favorite movies.
Since life seems to have taken forever since January hit, I've had lots of time to reflect on my experiences in Arizona. If we don't get into the Phoenix Arizona residency you are going to hear lots of this so bare with me....
I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for starting J Petite a year after we moved to Arizona. Having a project to work on that is completely my own was seriously needed to distract myself from feeling lonely in a new state. For our first year here I worked all the time at odd hours, didn't talk to my former best friend who lived here, never saw Todd because of school, and didn't have an outlet to develop deep rooted friendships. Yeah I was lonely....
The best thing about starting my blog was that it brought me together with other creative women in the valley that love and support me. J Petite has not only become a fashion and fitness blog, but has developed into showcasing some amazing fine art photography with my amazing team. Each person I continually work with has touched and inspired me in so many ways, and feel incredibly blessed to call them my friends.

To all these women, thank you so much for making my experience here something more than I could have ever dreamed!
Exiting! Do you look forward to move?
ReplyDeleteIt's bitter sweet. I actually hate Arizona because I
DeleteCome from a state where the mountains are ten minutes from me and I can either go hiking, rock climbing, or snowboarding. I miss the outdoors so much and hope to have that life style again. On the other hand I've developed such a great relationship with my blogging team that will be hard to leave them :(
Love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you! It's rare if I can wear my hunters in Arizona so I need to take advantage when I can :)
